‘Star Wars: Andor’ Possibly Shortened to Three Seasons Instead of Five

Right now, we’re all excited about “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” coming soon to Disney+, but another live-action “Star Wars” show is also in the works — “Andor” starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, who first appeared in “Rogue One.” The show has already been renewed for a second season, even though the first has not yet aired. We now know the show was originally supposed to be five seasons but will probably only have three.

Andor News on Twitter translated a Brazilian interview with the director of photography Adriano Goldman, in which he said (originally in Portuguese) the series “was supposed to be five seasons long but I think it’s not happening, it will have three maybe.”

“Andor” will be a prequel to “Rogue One,” but not much else is known about the series. An air date has not been set.
