- Someone claiming to be a social influencer sat down on another guest’s feet to get the best spot for the Magic Kingdom cavalcade.
EPCOT
- Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for Journey of Water, inspired by “Moana,” which is currently under construction at EPCOT.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- The DynoGlide plane and other toy props have been removed from the exit of Toy Story Mania in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed again on Wednesday, February 9 and Thursday, February 10 due to cold weather.
Disneyland Resort
- Changes at security seem to indicate Disneyland trams will be returning imminently.
- As construction of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway continues in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland, more construction walls have been erected around the new ride’s façade.
- We stopped by Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney District to try the new Ima’gin’ cocktail now available for Magic Key Holder Celebration Month at Disneyland.
- We came down to Disneyland to hang out with the big cheese himself, Mickey Mouse, in a private party held in his home in Toontown. Come along with us as we see everything that ‘Celebrate! in Mickey’s Toontown’ has to offer.

Disneyland Paris
- The Production Courtyard stage in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is set to be demolished.
- Disneyland Paris has revealed Minnie Mouse’s new 30th anniversary costume.
Hong Kong Disneyland
- Hong Kong Disneyland is currently closed due to a wave of COVID-19 cases, and the closure has just been extended a second time to February 23.
New Merchandise
- Today at EPCOT, we spotted a new Limited Edition Our Transformation Story pin and Limited Release Star Wars pins by Her Universe.
- Last week, a new shirt inspired by the “Harmonious” nighttime spectacular arrived at EPCOT. Guests can now pick up a matching Spirit Jersey, available in Creations Shop.
- Add some color to your living room and stay warm with this new throw blanket inspired by the iconic Spaceship Earth.
- We recently saw this new Festival of the Arts ornament featuring the beloved EPCOT mascot, Figment.
- A new series of limited release collectible character pins by FiGPiN is now available at Disneyland Resort.
- Yesterday, we witnessed the debut of the new Dooney and Bourke “Disney Steeds” collection at Magic Kingdom, and today it rode on into Disney Clothiers at Disneyland Park.

Entertainment and Media
- Three Disney films have been nominated for the Academy Award for best animated feature film: “Encanto” and “Raya and the Last Dragon” from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and “Luca” from Pixar Animation Studios.
- The Academy Awards are notoriously hesitant towards superhero films, and this year was no different as “Spider-Man: No Way Home” fails to swing into the Best Picture category.
- Pixar has released a second trailer for “Lightyear,” which tells the story of the “real” astronaut who inspired the “Toy Story” toy.
- Air Canada is celebrating the upcoming Disney+ release of Disney-Pixar’s “Turning Red” with a plane themed to the movie.
- Robert Blalack, co-founder of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), has passed away at the age of 73.

- “Star Wars: Andor” hasn’t even premiered to audiences yet, but expect a second season of the show.
