VIDEO: Watch the Story Trailer for "Marvel's Avengers: War Table" Video Game, Releasing September 4

Square Enix has just released the latest story trailer for Marvel's Avengers: War Table video game, which was announced at E3 in 2019. Not much has been shown before the new trailer dropped today during the inaugural Marvel's Avengers: War Table event, giving fans an insight on the overall plot of the latest installment involving the Earth's mightiest heroes.

The official descriptions reads: "People around the world have turned their backs on the Avengers. Ms. Marvel must reassemble her role models while facing AIM's leader, George Tarleton, who has his own vision for the future."

This story gives insight on how Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, reunites the rest of the Avengers in order to stop AIM, Advanced Idea Mechanics, and their leader who's better known as MODOK, the Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing.

Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and Black Widow join up again with the help of Ms. Marvel after the death of Captain America. The team has to learn how to put the past behind them in order to defend the world against MODOK for the future to survive.

Marvel's Avengers: War Table will be released on September 4, 2020, delayed from its original debut date on May 15, 2020. The game will be available on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and on Windows PC.

"Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road" App Launching on June 22 After Delayed Release

Kingdom Hearts fans won't have to wait much longer for the latest game in the franchise. The newest addition to the series, Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road, will be launching on iOS and Android app stores Monday, June 22.

The game was originally set to be released this Spring but was delayed due to ‘current conditions’ back in May caused by COVID-19.

This announcement comes along with an overall trailer for all Kingdom Hearts related releases for 2020, with an extended trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Memory of Melodies, and the announcement of the soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts III coming out in the Fall.

Are you excited about all of these new Kingdom Hearts releases coming this year? Let us know in the comments!

New “Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories” Rhythm Game Announced for 2020

Square Enix has just released the latest preview for "Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories" on their official YouTube page, announcing that the latest game in the franchise will be released worldwide in 2020 on PS4, XBOX One and the Nintendo Switch.

Although the preview isn't in English, fans can still get a glimpse of what the latest game play will be like. This game looks to be a rhythm based adventure, similar to Square Enix's "Final Fantasy Theatrhytm" that was released in 2014.

The game brings about the return of our favorite trio, Sora, Goofy and Donald as they continue to battle the Heartless throughout many worlds while following the melody of the game's iconic music.

Given the title of "Melody of Memories" we'll see Sora travel through various scenes across the Kingdom Hearts series, as shown here in this scene from "Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days" with Axel, Roxas and Xion enjoying some sea salt ice cream.

The end of the trailer also features scenes with Kairi, with story that will most likely tie this game into the overall series.

While "Kingdom Hearts: Dark Roads" is currently delayed for the iOS and Android release, fans can still enjoy the latest addition in the series when "Melody of Memories" releases later this year.

Kingdom Hearts Reportedly in Development as Animated Series for Disney+

Kingdom Hearts fans have been a very loyal and dedicated fan base over the years, following the story across a variety of gaming consoles. However, a new platform is reportedly in the works to continue on the story of Light versus Dark. Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts video game is apparently in development of getting an animated television show that would be available on Disney+.

While nothing has been officially stated by Disney on this matter, there's been a bit of discourse about it on Twitter, which has our hopes up for this being a possibility in the future.

Emre Kaya, a writer for The Cinema Spot, got the discussion started by tweeting that Square Enix was asked to make a pilot using the animation software that was used in the video games, as things didn't work out well with Disney.

It was with Kaya's tweet that we also discovered that it would most likely be an animated show, as most fans were worried what a live-action version of this video game could look like. After seeing how 20th Century Fox's Assassin's Creed movie turned out, fans have the right to be worried when it comes to adapting video games into live action media.

The conversation only continued to grow when Skyler Shuler, The DisInsider editor-in-chief, added more information regarding the development of the show.

It would be a series, rather than a movie. Whether the series would follow the events of the video games or tell a new story, we're currently unsure. It hasn't been reported if the voice actors for the main characters of the game like Sora, Roxas, Aqua or Axel would have a part in the show. However, the voices actors for Goofy (Bill Farmer) and Donald (Tony Anselmo) would be reprising their role, as well as Jim Cummings, who voices many beloved Disney characters.

While nothing is officially reported or has a release date been announced, the idea of this becoming a reality is definitely exciting. If you're looking for more Kingdom Hearts content, check out our in-depth review and discussion on Kingdom Hearts III or read about the latest development in Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road, which has currently been delayed.

More exciting announcements regarding the Kingdom Hearts franchise should be occurring next month, according to the Kingdom Hearts Twitter account, but continue to follow WDWNT for the latest developments regarding the video games and possible TV show coming soon.

Using manga-styled characters, users will navigate beautifully-illustrated worlds and interact with some classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

If all this seems confusing, don't worry: there are plenty of hints along the way to help you!

Over the 125 thirty-minute lessons, users will develop content using characters from Disney properties, including Big Hero 6, Aladdin, Wreck-It Ralph, Zootopia, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, and Frozen.

You can help Aladdin escape the Cave of Wonders, break plates with Baymax, find missing animals in Zootopia, and even control Elsa's magical snowflakes. It's fun for both children and adults!

“With the popularity of Disney’s Frozen, we’re encouraging people to do more than consume content. When you learn to code, you can create your own content and become part of the magic,” said Satoshi Miyagawa who led the new product development, at last year's Consumer Electronics Show. “You can use the skills you learn to make your own movies, games and websites.”

The full gaming course costs $1,999.00 (or $65.00 a month on an installment plan), but WDWNT readers can get a 10% discount with the discount code WDWNT10, bringing the price to $1,799.00! Development Has Been Delayed on "Kingdom Hearts Dark Road" Game Due to 'Current Conditions'

It has been announced that development for latest instalment in the "Kingdom Hearts" game series has had to be delayed.

"Kingdom Hearts Dark Road", which is being developed for iOS and Android devices, was originally set to be released this Spring. Now, the producers have announced an indefinite delay on the release, put down to 'current conditions'. "Dark Road" joins a long list of Disney entertainment releases which have been delayed this summer due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which is continuously causing great losses to The Walt Disney Company.

Alongside the apology issued on Twitter, the "Kingdom Hearts" team issued a promise that more details will be released in early June, so hopefully fans will have more of an indication of the game's release in the upcoming weeks.

Disney Shuts Down Unauthorized Club Penguin Reboot Due to Copyright Claims and Child Pornography Scandal

Club Penguin was a massively popular, kid-friendly MMO online game that officially launched in 2005. It was a social game where kids could create their own avatar, socialize, and decorate their virtual homes. The game seemed antiquated by today’s standards, yet the dedicated fanbase kept the game alive for many years.

The game was purchased by Disney in 2007 and garnered over 200 million registered users, though its popularity declined significantly over the past few years. Club Penguin was eventually brought over to mobile in 2017, where it experienced a second life of sorts, but it was ultimately discontinued by Disney in 2018, and numerous unauthorized versions were created in its place. One of the largest unauthorized reboots, Club Penguin Online, was just shut down today after Disney filed a copyright-takedown notice amidst a child pornography scandal involving a man who oversaw the game.

The unlicensed, fan-run version of Club Penguin Online had amassed over 8 million users. It went dark today after Disney filed a DMCA claim against the site. A BBC News report revealed that messages on the online gaming platform included racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, and sexual messages, due to lack of moderation.

In addition to the copyright and moderation issues, a London man involved with the server was also reportedly arrested on child pornography charges.

Disney released the following statement to the BBC:

"Child safety is a top priority for the Walt Disney Company and we are appalled by the allegations of criminal activity and abhorrent behavior on this unauthorized website that is illegally using the Club Penguin brand and characters for its own purposes. We continue to enforce our rights against this, and other, unauthorized uses of the Club Penguin game."

Club Penguin Online informed users that the site would be going offline in a now-removed blog post, stating: "We would like to thank you all for making this journey a memorable and enjoyable one, despite the rocky ending."

VIDEO: Sing Along At Home with Performers from "The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands" at Disneyland Paris

Warm up your vocal chords as a new Disney Parks performer singalong video has been released!

This one comes straight from the Pride Lands of Disneyland Paris. A pack of talented singers from the beautiful "The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands" show have teamed up to perform a rendition of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" in a video released on Disneyland Paris social media this week. The group is asking viewers, guests, and lions alike to join in with them for the song, and we're sure you know the words!

lion king jungle singalong

Along with the video, Disneyland Paris are asking fans to film themselves singing along acapella to the classic track and post the videos online, for a special chance to be featured on the channel. This is part of their fun, new "Disneyland Paris at Home" initiative, and definitely a good excuse to get creative.

"The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands" show is a popular part of the wild "Lion King and Jungle Festival" at the Disneyland Paris resort, which usually runs through summer. Last week, it was reported that performances of the "Jungle Book Jive" show for the festival were cancelled this year, owing to the ongoing park closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst we doubt that the festival will be continuing as planned this year, we are hopeful that all the shows and performances will return to the parks next summer.

You can check out our video of the full "The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands" show from last year's festival below:

If you're living for these at-home Disney performances during quarantine, definitely set a reminder for The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II, which is set to take place this weekend!

REVIEW: Disney Sorcerer's Arena Mobile RPG Brings High-Caliber Nostalgia and Entertainment

On March 24th, Glu Mobile Inc. launched a new, free-to-play, turn-based Arena game called Disney Sorcerer’s Arena. The game resembles a lot of the typical arena games that we’ve seen on the mobile market such as Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Marvel Strike Force, and Disney Heroes: Battle Mode.

Glu released a pretty epic trailer for the release. Unfortunately, it doesn't really show you much in terms of gameplay:

What makes Disney Sorcerer’s Arena an interesting addition to the current lineup is that it could be considered a competitor to Disney Heroes: Battle Mode being that they have an overlap of many of the same characters. There definitely are differences between the two, where Sorcerer’s Arena takes a more card-based and turn-based approach, whereas Battle Mode focuses on being more of an auto-brawler.

Sorcerer’s Arena starts out with semi-lengthy tutorial, taking you all the way to about level 6 before you are able to partially start exploring the game yourself. After that, there are some more tutorials that teach you more about the game as you reach new levels or unlock certain features.

The gameplay is very similar to Galaxy of Heroes, and boasts about 66 characters that are able to be unlocked right now. There is a welcoming array of characters from movies all across the Disney and Pixar universes! You may find yourself fighting the Rhino Guards from Robin Hood on one level, and some of Captain Hook’s crew alongside Kakamora from Moana in the next.

Characters take on traditional RPG roles, such as support, damage, and tank. Most of the characters try to follow their anticipated roles. Aladdin takes on a damage role, focusing on doing quick, fast damage while Gaston is naturally a tank, taking every chance he can to get into the limelight!

In addition to characters, Sorcerer's Arena introduces spells, which are powered up and used throughout the battle. These spells may range from one-time attacks, to bringing your good friend Trigger on your side to fight with you!

Another area that seemed refreshing was the option to change the clothing on some of your characters. This seems to be limited to one costume right now for some characters, but definitely has the potential to be expanded upon at a later date.

Overall, the game does seem very much like a repeat of many other similar games in the market, but its selection of characters and nostalgia are a welcoming sight!

If you’re interested in playing, you can play on iOS or Android. If you have a PC, you can download Bluestacks, an Android emulator. While the game is free, you have the option to pay for extras.

The Aladdin video game is historically significant for many reasons - from its and groundbreaking approach to character animation to its incredible integration of the film’s beloved songs. It proved, upon its initial release in 1993, that licensed products can also be high art. This Genesis version of Aladdin is presented in true Legacy Cartridge Collection elegance, complete with lovingly restored artwork, gleaming translucent cartridge shells, a full-color premium manual and other retro pack-in surprises. Everything that you’ve come to expect from iam8bit’s definitive series, honoring games that defined retro gaming excellence.

Cartridge colorways are randomly inserted into sealed, unmarked boxes.

The edition of 4,500 is comprised of: Translucent Ruby Red; and Rare Purple Gem Glow-in-the-Dark (1 in 8 odds for an ultra limited cartridge).

The Lion King Legacy Cartridge (SNES)

The majesty of The Lion King is cinematic legend, and when it comes to video games, its SNES adaptation truly pushed the limits of what was possible in the 16-bit era. From its nuanced character animation to its epic (and gut-wrenching) Wildebeest stampede, the Serengetti-spanning scope of the film was impressively captured on cartridge in all its glory. This ultimate Legacy Cartridge Collection edition pays tribute to the impossible feats that The Lion King achieved way back in 1994, with painstakingly restoration of all the original artwork and presentation in a premium package fit for royalty, complete with all the retro trappings, including an all-important, custom dust cover.

Cartridge colorways are randomly inserted into sealed, unmarked boxes.

The edition of 4500 is comprised of: Opaque Mufasa Marigold; and Ultra Limited Translucent Serengeti Sunrise Glow-in-the-Dark (1 in 8 odds for rare cartridge).

Will you be pre-ordering your boxed sets? Gotta head to the garage and bust out the Genesis first, but don't forget to blow on those cartridges.
