PHOTOS: Droid Depot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Out of Cardboard Carrying Boxes, Giving Guests Plastic Bags Instead

Just like at the nearby Savi’s Workshop, Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently providing plastic bags to guests instead of the usual carrying cases.

Guests who build a custom droid at Droid Depot are usually given a cardboard carrying case. These are now out of stock, so they are getting plastic bags instead.

Savi’s Workshop began giving guests a discount since the lightsaber carrying case is listed as part of the experience. The “carry box” is listed as part of the $99.99 Droid Depot experience but it seems discounts are not yet being offered.
