Guests can once again take a ride on a horse-drawn trolley down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom.
Though other Main Street vehicles returned to service late last year, the trolley was still reserved for Dapper Dan performances. The trolley has also been used for character cavalcades.
Like other Main Street vehicles, the trolley usually only operates in the morning.
Cast Members told us the trolley is only testing right now, with just two runs each morning.
A custodial Cast Member follows the horse-drawn trolley with a rolling bucket to take care of anything unsanitary the horse might leave behind.
Guests can board the trolley at Cinderella Castle or in Town Square.
Cast Members on the ground ensure guests clear out of the trolley’s way.
It’s a slow and steady ride, perfect for any guest who may need to rest their legs.
The name and breed of the horse are on a sign inside the trolley. We took a ride with Titan, a Percheron.

I think it’s strange it has taken so long to get the trolleys up and running.
Out here at Disneyland where it took a full year longer to re-open, and had more restrictive Covid rules that lasted much longer, the Main St. vehicles and trolleys came back late last year.
Nice. Rode the other car back in 2017. A Disney highlight!

The return of the trolleys is a welcome sight. At Disneyland, two trolleys are often used throughout the day timing their journeys perfectly to utilize the bypass in the middle of the route. My family longs for the day when the Magic Kingdom counterpart returns to full glory: Two trolley teams appearing multiple times per day throughout the day.
