Welcome to another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Spring Break and Easter crowds are here and it didn’t take long before both parks hit capacity for the day. We’re glad we arrived early and made it into the parks. Let’s check out what’s happening today.
The weather is cool, but the sun is shining!
Over in Seuss Landing, we noticed that the If I Ran the Zoo playground is getting refurbished. The play area has not been available since the park reopening in June, so it’s interesting to see the area getting repainted and refreshed. The colors are bright and bold and fitting of Seuss Landing.
This little guy in the tub even has bright new bristles.
The painters around here must be really busy lately! Not only is Seuss Landing getting fresh paint, but the Discovery Center in Jurassic Park has also received more paint. Those dinosaur fossils on the side of the building look at lot better now. The letters over the entrance of the Discovery Center really pop with a new coat of gold paint.
New lighting has also been added along the pathway leading from Jurassic Park to the bypass bridge.
We also spotted the VelociCoaster entrance sign lit up. Take a closer look here.
Downstairs in the Discovery Center, we spotted the green lights are lit on the large VelociCoaster lockers.
We stopped into Toon Lagoon to pick up our April UOAP button from Toon Extra. If you want to avoid the lines at the UOAP Lounge in Universal Studios Florida, this is a great place to walk up and get your button. This month’s button is inspired by Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans.
After maneuvering the crowds at Islands of Adventure, we took the backstage path over to Universal Studios Florida.
Over at Universal Studios Florida, we came across large crowds, especially for the E.T. Adventure. It seems like everyone wanted to ride at the exact same time!
Today is a good day to have an Express Pass.
Scooby and the gang are ready to celebrate Mardi Gras!
After a long day in the parks, we decided to stop into the Brazil tasting booth and treat ourselves with a Strawberry Pineapple Caipirinha and some Brigadeiros. You can read our full review of the booth here.
Thanks for joining us around the parks today, but we’re ready to get out of here. Be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
Surprising that that Seuss sign is still there, considering that’s one of the 6 discontinued books.
