PHOTOS: Disney Springs Cast Members Spotted Wearing Face Shields

While out and about at Disney Springs this evening, we popped into the PhotoPass Studio at the Marketplace Co-Op and we were surprised to see Cast Members in face shields.

We just recently released an update that most Walt Disney World attractions Cast Members will be required to face shields as well.

These face shields are provided by Disney and are a great step forward in keeping Cast Members safe as COVID-19 case numbers are still on the rise. Do note that Cast Members are still wearing regular face masks underneath the shield.

Keeping Cast Members safe is very important to us here at WDWNT as they work very hard and deserved to be treated well. Hopefully these shields make them feel more comfortable and prepared ahead of the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks reopening on July 11th.

  1. Breathing easily is not going to be able to be achieved…especially on sunny, hot, humid days.. breathing is difficult to begin with wearing a mask and a now a shield too…with the mask on……hmmm have to check out the hazards of how that is going to work out….

  2. Glad to see, especially with the surge in cases happening in Orange County and across the sunbelt states. Front line workers are at huge risk for getting the virus. Disney is not only protecting its workers but also helping prevent even worse spread.
