2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays & Candlelight Processional Dates Announced

The 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will be coming back to Epcot November 18th through December 30th. Also returning is the ever-popular Candlelight Processional, which opens on Thanksgiving this year, November 22nd, and runs through December 30th as well.

2017 was the first year for the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Before 2017, it was called Holidays Around the World. This year’s festival starts one day earlier than last year. To get an idea of what might be coming this year, take a look at all of our reviews from last year.

Here is how Disney describes the two events:

The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays invites guests to discover holiday cheer throughout the park and across all 11 World Showcase pavilions. Special entertainment, storytellers, seasonal favorites at Holiday Kitchens, and eye-catching holiday decor are all part of the fun. Evenings during this time are topped off with a special holiday presentation of “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.”

The Candlelight Processional, a holiday must-do for many Epcot guests, is a retelling of the traditional Christmas story read by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a massed choir and live orchestra.

Narrators and dining packages for the Candlelight Processional have yet to be announced, so stay tuned to WDWNT for that info when it becomes available.
