Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure reopened this afternoon after Hurricane Ian ripped off some paneling of the show building, creating a large hole.
The hole is near the top of the water ride’s drop.
The steel structure of the building is visible but does not appear damaged.
Water likely got into the building but, as a water ride, the mechanisms are designed to withstand at least some flooding.
We saw crew members clearing debris from the emergency walkway a few hours ago.
The ride was closed this morning, but has now reopened.
We saw rafts going down the drop just fine.
