With reopening on the calendar for late July, construction chugs along at a steady pace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. There’s a lot of projects in motion at once, including the Moana room refurbishment. Today, we’ll take a look at some of the outdoor construction.

The worksite around the new monorail station was very busy today.

Yesterday, we reported the installation of scaffolding around the support columns and across the monorail track. We got a closer look at the scaffolding today.

The station itself hasn’t changed since we checked in yesterday, but the porte-cochére has seen a lot of progress.

The decorative “wood” beam is in place at the front of the porte-cochére with scaffolding and supports around it. It remains unclear if this is the top of the station roof, the porte-cochére roof, or something else.

These concrete structures will act as supports for the roof.

Teams are also active at the walkway to the Grand Ceremonial House, which recently saw the addition of roof framing.

Over by Pineapple Lanai, construction walls were installed back in April. A large tree was sadly removed, but the site was left otherwise untouched for several weeks.

Now, an active construction site is behind the walls. The landscaping is torn up and tubes, wood framing, and other construction materials are staged.

A trench has been dug and tubing laid nearby.
