As demolition ramps up in the center of Future World, the former Pin Central shop is starting to slowly be dismantled.
Today, we see the full removal of the entire network of cables that comprised the infrastructure for the Pin Central canopy.
The view of what remains of the center of Future World from the Festival of the Arts’ Expression Section area shows that the tallest supports remain standing, albeit with slack wires hanging from them.
Here’s a look at this same area just yesterday:
As we rode the monorail today, we saw the posts at the top of Pin Central are being sawed off. Large construction containers surround one side of the area and are filled with discarded material.
From other angles, you can see the Disney Parks Pin Trading logos featuring Mickey Mouse are starting to be removed. The white triangular canopies that previously shaded the area were already removed a few days ago.
The other vertical poles that once supported canopies shading the area will also get demolished as the center of EPCOT transitions into World Celebration.
You can still get your trading pin fix in EPCOT at Pin Traders – Camera Center near Spaceship Earth, where a large selection of pins is now located.
