Very soon, Starbucks lovers will once again be able to get their coffee fix at EPCOT’s new “Traveler’s Cafe.”
Starbucks’ former EPCOT location (Fountain View) closed in early September this year to make way for the new Festival Center and World Celebration, one of the park’s new neighborhoods. To fill the caffeine void, a “temporary” Starbucks location has been constructed on the Rose Walk pathway between Refreshment Port and the new restrooms near the entrance to World Showcase.
Construction walls and fencing are down at the location this morning as it readies for its grand opening. Tons of managerial and support staff are on site to oversee operations on its first day. Let’s take a tour!
Starbucks: Exterior
This Starbucks location is small and kiosk-style. The building follows the current aesthetic of any Starbucks across the U.S. It has a sleek, contemporary design with a boxy shape and flat roof. It sort of reminds of us a bit of a modern container home.
There are two registers for ordering on one end, plus a pick-up window at the other end. Currently, temporary switchbacks are set up for once the location begins to welcome guests. A fancy, iron-wrought A-frame sign will soon advertise all of the latest sugary drinks for the season.

To the far right is a stainless steel table for all the necessary coffee fixings, like cream and sugar. It’s clearly just a makeshift kitchen bench, so we hope something more themed pops up once more scrim comes down.
You can tell the space is still under inspection before officially opening from the abandoned Imagineering hat on the counter.
The exterior of the building is a combination of rich wood paneling and dark metal siding.
Unlike the more discreet Starbucks sign that was present at Fountain View, this location has a large round Starbucks logo on the building’s side as well as signage above the order window. You can’t miss it!
Starbucks: Seating
With this being a pickup-only Starbucks kiosk, all seating is outdoors, however, a series of mysterious sections––possibly tables, possibly planters––are currently wrapped in scrim:
Starbucks: Menu
The best part of this tiny Starbucks is its EPCOT-inspired menu. While the drinks are the same, every section header is written out in the new futuristic EPCOT font. All of the seasonal holiday drinks are listed under the first section, titled “Oh What Yum”.
While most Starbucks locations on property sell branded mugs, tumblers, and ornaments on site, due to space constraints at this Starbucks, guests are invited to explore all of the drinkware at the nearby Port of Entry store.
How do you feel about the new temporary Starbucks location? Will you grab a latte there?
Gives a ‘nice’ little your-local-Strip-Mall touch to that part of Epcot.
