The cake is purple and platinum, the colors of the 100 Years of Wonder celebration, with fondant drapery around the top and a ribbon around the bottom. It’s pretty, perfect for a photoshoot.

“The inspiration of this cake pulls from the rich purple and platinum colors used for the Disney100 celebration,” Chef Amanda told Disney Parks Blog. “The drapery on the sides of the cake represents the traditional bunting that adorns Main Street, U.S.A., for special occasions. And of course, Mickey Mouse is proudly represented on the front of the cake because, as we all know: ‘It all started with a mouse.’”

The fondant around the cake is super sweet and a little chewy. It’s a sugary dessert.

The cake is moist and full of berry flavor. If you like berries, this is for you.

It’s just a shell of a macaron on top, but it’s a cute alternative to a white chocolate medallion.

The macaron is made with almond flour, and had a bit of a berry taste as well.

The cake looks small, but it’s a shareable size and a bit pricy for just one person. We recommend splitting it with one or two friends.

Disney 100 Years of Wonder

Walt Disney World announced monthly themes to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company over the next several months. April celebrated Earth Day, the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s conservation efforts. May is honoring “Star Wars” with May the 4th celebrations.

Mickey and Minnie will appear in their platinum Disney100 outfits for a meet and greet at EPCOT later this year. Disney said they will have more details about when and where guests can meet them “soon.” Donald, Goofy, and Pluto are appearing in their Disney100 outfits at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Disney also provided a first look at the new Disney100 Spectacle of Light show on Spaceship Earth, which will debut later this year.

In late 2023, a new nighttime spectacular will premiere at EPCOT to replace “Harmonious.” Journey of Water, CommuniCore Hall, World Celebration Garden, and Dreamers Point are all scheduled to open in late 2023 at EPCOT.

Mirabel will have a meet and greet at Magic Kingdom beginning “this fall” in the Fairytale Garden. She will be replacing Merida, and the area will be redesigned to look like the Casita Madrigal.

The Disney100 Cinderella Premium Bucket will be available at Magic Kingdom soon. This bucket was initially released at Disneyland Resort and features Cinderella looking out the window of a platinum version of her coach.

Check out some Disney100 merchandise and our full list with locations of Disney100 pressed pennies at Walt Disney World.

The 100 Years of Wonder celebration is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, where guests can enjoy “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. The platinum Mickey sculpture at EPCOT will presumably be the same as the one at Disneyland, which had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect. Disneyland also has a platinum Minnie statue.
