Two new leather jackets have been released as part of a new collection commemorating the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” and these collectors’ edition items feature a typographical error perhaps making them more rare than originally anticipated.

The $695 Indiana Jones Vintage Cowhide Leather Jacket by U.S. Wings features a specially designed globe-trotting map and written biography from Dr. Henry Jones decorating the interior lining. The bio and a list of the “Indiana Jones” films also line the interior of the $495 Indiana Jones Cape Buffalo A-2 Leather Jacket. There’s just one minor overlooked detail.

Both of these collectors’ edition Indiana Jones leather jackets erroneously list Indy’s hometown as the New Jersey college town of “Prinston.” Dr. Henry Walton Jones Jr., of course, actually hails from Princeton, New Jersey, according to Indiana Jones canon.

This small, but certainly costly oversight may indicate a rare, misprint version will be sought after by collectors aiming to commemorate the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie. Of course, the beloved archaeologist has been the subject of a few misprints as of late.

 Error-ridden signs on the construction walls outside of Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland needed to be replaced after guests pointed out a slew of misinformation and typos among the attraction closure signs.

While these items may be the most costly and the most talked-about, an entire collection of merchandise has been released in honor of the final movie of the Indiana Jones franchise.

With “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” scheduled to be released on June 30 as the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie, the MPAA has weighed in on the film with an official PG-13 rating. While the rating itself doesn’t add much to what can be expected in the fifth and final film, it is an interesting reminder that the second film of the franchise, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”, was a main catalyst (alongside “Gremlins”) that led the MPAA to create the PG-13 classification in the first place.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will take place in 1969, amidst the space race where he will encounter his old enemy, the Nazis, once again. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Indiana Jones. Mads Mikkelsen will play Voller, a villain inspired by Wernher von Braun, a real Nazi who became a NASA engineer. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will appear as Helena Shaw, Indy’s goddaughter. John Rhys-Davies will return as Sallah, Indy’s friend who was last seen in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.”

Last week, Lucasfilm released the first full trailer and a new poster for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” the fifth and final film in the series. The teaser trailer and artwork for the film debuted in December. A second teaser for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” premiered during Super Bowl LVII.

Harrison Ford, now 80 years old, stated this will be the last “Indiana Jones” movie. Before the film’s full title was announced, Empire shared behind-the-scenes photos and interviews with the cast last November.

“It’s full of adventure, full of laughs, full of real emotion. And it’s complex and it’s sneaky,” Ford said at the time. “The shooting of it was tough and long and arduous. But I’m very happy with the film that we have.”

It’s rumored that an Indiana Jones TV series could be in development for Disney+. It remains unclear if the storyline of this series would be a prequel to the films, set somewhere inside the franchise narrative, or following a totally new character rather than Henry Jones Jr. If this series is developed, it would not be the first TV show about Indiana Jones. In 1992-1993, “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” aired on ABC. Harrison Ford made a cameo appearance in one episode.
