A new park map has made its way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, replacing the old “EARidescent” themed one from Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

With Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary coming to a close, lots of changes have been happening around the parks. 50th Anniversary banners have been coming down, 50th-themed offerings have been disappearing from menus, and now, park maps are returning to the pre-50th days.

We recently stopped at Animal Kingdom and noticed that their park maps have changed from being decorated with an iridescent theming to a more Earthy, toned down, Animal Kingdom theme.

The new maps are decorated with blue/green tones and feature what appear to be either tiger or zebra stripes.

The old maps featured 50th Anniversary offerings in this section as well, including snacks, merchandise, and more.

The map of the park itself also remains relatively unchanged. We did notice, however, that the compass in the corner has changed to just a regular compass featuring the Tree of Life in the middle of it. Before, it was a 50th Anniversary themed compass.

We also noticed that it no longer features a box in the lower righthand corner giving the Beacons of Magic showtimes. Beacons of Magic at Animal Kingdom, will say goodbye on March 31, 2023 — the last day of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The other side of the map no longer shows the golden 50th statues and no longer shows any of the 50th-themed offerings.

Most people use the myDisney Experience app to navigate the parks, but there’s just something about having the actual map in your hands. Plus, it makes a great free souvenir.

The front of the map fades from blue to green and features Disney Animal Kingdom’s park icon, the Tree of Life, in the center.

With Animal Kingdom’s 25th Anniversary coming up this April, we wonder if the park maps will change again to reflect that.
