Construction in the EPCOT parking lot seems to be for a new ride-share loop and plaza.
A rectangular construction site at the back of the parking lot is visible from the Monorail when approaching EPCOT. We saw this land being cleared a week ago.
A light-colored roadway curves around two strips of dark dirt. No paving has been completed yet.
It looks like there might be two covered plazas for guests to stand at while waiting for their Uber or Lyft.
A small mound of dirt is still at one side of the construction site, where a digger vehicle is parked.
The EPCOT parking lots were recently renamed after characters. The east and west trams are now the Earth and Space trams — although trams have yet to return to EPCOT.
Ride-share pickup and drop-off are currently on the west side of the parking lot, near EV parking. This new site is near the HeiHei parking lot.
