New Genie+ Update Will Streamline Modifications for Lightning Lane Selections

A new update is coming to Disney Genie+ to improve useability. Guests will soon be able to modify Lightning Lane selections without canceling and rebooking.

The new function will allow users to search for other available Lightning Lane attractions or arrival times and swap them. This will reduce the number of steps it takes to change your Lightning Lane reservations.

Genie+ is an add-on service for your Walt Disney World visit that costs roughly $15-30 per person, per day. The price depends on the date of your visit. It allows access to Lightning Lane queues for select attractions using a reservation system, among other features.

Disney estimates that guests who purchase Genie+ will be able to access Lightning Lane for 2-3 attractions per day.

The changes are slated to take effect within the next couple of weeks for both the My Disney Experience app at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland app for Disneyland Resort.

  1. when is Disney World gonna bring back the “Disney Junior Dance Party” show? i mean it has been two years since they were showing “Disney Junior: Play and Dance” and the social distancing is not used these days and ever since that, it’s like “Disney Junior Dance Party” had become nothing but a forgotten memory! please Walt Disney World, if you can receive my comment from WDWNT! please bring back Disney Junior Dance Party! #BringBackDisneyJuniorDanceParty

  2. remeber all the problems with magic bands when they first came out? disney finally worked out the problems and now have created more of them just for you and your phone you paid for!
