On our most recent stop at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom, we noticed two new 50th anniversary menu items: an “it’s a small world”-themed berbere-chickpea flatbread and a Brazil nut cake.

These replaced the Chicken Souvlaki Flatbread and Traditional Baklava.

This spiced flatbread is sure to please those who want an option with less meat, though it should be noted that Disney does not categorize this as a plant-based dish, so it likely contains animal products or byproducts.

While not crispy, the pizza dough is firm. The spiced hummus adds a nice base layer of flavor to the flatbread. Tomato and red onion make this pizza worthwhile, adding bright flavors with a roasted kick. The cilantro-chutney drizzle gives this a nice bit of spice. This is a nice option for those looking for a lighter dish at Magic Kingdom.
Brazil Nut Cake – $6.19
Coffee-Brazilian Nut Cake, featuring Flavors of Brazil with Passion Fruit Curd and Milk Chocolate Mousse

The Brazil nut cake is a complicated display of pastry skills, with a multitude of flavors and layers hidden within. While this may not please everyone, this pastry combines several different flavors in a unique way that makes a creative addition to the dessert menu.

The bottom of the cake resembles a rich pound cake, while the center is a mousse. Unfortunately, the outer layer of curd is gelatinous and nearly inedible. We would highly recommend taking this off and enjoying the rest of the dessert.

This dessert features the large cake base, it is slightly sweet and very rich. The chocolate mousse is light. Easily the best part of this dessert is the crunchy peanut brittle. Dipped in the caramel whipped mouse on top, this is the highlight of the treat.
We would highly recommend trying this new dessert. The curd is one small downside to a delicious layered dessert. With prices being raised around the resort, this new dessert offers a nice new offering at a decent price. Are you going to be picking this treat up? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
