Everyone’s favorite gal & Mickey’s sweetheart – Minnie Mouse gets a new collection of handbags from Dooney & Bourke. We found these gorgeous bags at Uptown Jewelers at the Magic Kingdom.
Minnie Mouse Dooney & Bourke Backpack – $268.00
This new collection is very reminiscent of artwork by the late pop artist Keith Haring. The backpack is constructed of white pebbled simulated leather and features thick black line drawings of Minnie Mouse in various poses, accessories including a tube of lipstick, a monogrammed compact, hearts, squiggles, and “Minnie” written throughout the design.
On the lower middle of the front of the backpack has the “Dooney & Bourke” logo framed in a black leather square with white contrasting stitching. In the middle, an outside pocket is secured with a large zipper with a black leather pull tab accented in purple leather.
A hefty zipper runs almost from end to end around the top and sides of the bag. The main zipper pull tab, as well as the top handle, is in the same black and purple leather.
The backpack is lined with a contrasting purple fabric on the inside.
On the back are two black leather straps with contrasting purple trim and white stitching and secured with gold hardware. There is also another zippered outside pocket for smaller items and a black leather tag with “Disney” embossed in the center and also accented with purple and white stitching.
Minnie Mouse Dooney & Bourke Tote Bag – $298.00
The pop-art Minnie Mouse pattern is also available in a roomy tote bag. Covered in the same pebble-grained white simulated leather and Minnie Mouse line drawings, the bag features a large outside zippered pocket for quick access to sunglasses, a phone or any other items you use with any regularity.
On the reverse side is a full view of Minnie Mouse. The handles are of rich black leather and the bottom of the bag has just a hint of purple leather peeking out from the edge.
Minnie Mouse Dooney & Bourke Crossbody Bag – $248.00
The collection also features a crossbody bag with a generous black leather strap.
Similar to the backpack, the crossbody version also features a large outside zipped pocket – with a black and purple leather pull tab – to store small items. The Dooney & Bourke logo is embossed in a gold-plated metal plate and framed by black leather. It also includes a black leather “Disney” embossed tag.
The pattern runs all across the back of the bag. The leather straps are attached with gold toned metal swivel hooks and D rings.
The roomy interior is lined in contrasting fuchsia fabric.
