BREAKING: Walt Disney World Theme Parks & Disney Springs Closing Due to Hurricane Ian

Walt Disney World has announced that the theme parks and Disney Springs will be closing due to Hurricane Ian. The parks are scheduled to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday at this time, but the schedule is subject to change. Disney Springs will be closed on Wednesday with a decision to be made later regarding Thursday.

This update expands on the previous announcement that Typhoon Lagoon, both miniature golf courses, and select resort hotels will be closed. The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has also closed due to Hurricane Ian.

While not specifically mentioned in the announcement, the closure implies the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Thursday, September 29.

Current forecasts predict the hurricane will arrive in Central Florida on Thursday, but as it approaches, weather conditions will worsen.

  1. Will we atomically get a refund for our tickets that are reserved for September 28th? I was on hold for over an hour but the line was disconnected, now I am not sure what to do.
