Pathways Continue to Develop Around TRON Lightcycle Run in the Magic Kingdom

Greetings, programs! TRON Lightcycle / Run continues to “download” at the Magic Kingdom, and every passing day brings something new to the site. Let’s see what’s new!

From the “highway in the sky” of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, we spotted a team of construction workers working on a pathway waiting to be paved.

It’s possible this could be a connection from the attraction to the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., which is also undergoing refurbishment.

Looking at the attraction itself, we could see cherry pickers staged underneath the Upload Conduit.

Meanwhile, the pathway that runs underneath looks practically finished. Meanwhile, we know the trackwork is complete, as vehicle testing has been underway for months.

Of course, the path leading up to this remains unpaved, surrounded by curved concrete walls.

Some equipment has been placed around the oval-shaped planter in the middle of the path.

A crane has been parked next to the pathway that leads up to the attraction entrance.

Meanwhile, a scissor lift carries up workers focused on the archway.

Looking over to Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., wooden barriers are up on the path leading to the rear of the shop.

Black Perm-A-Barrier covers the awning, stretching upward on the front and back.

The store remains closed during the ongoing refurbishment.

Meanwhile, even though track rails are already installed inside the tunnel for the Walt Disney World Railroad, it seems that plenty of work still needs to be done to connect it to the rest of the track layout that circles the park.

The barriers will separate guests from the train tracks.

From the queue of The Barnstormer, we can see little has changed on the locker building since we last looked at it.

Below, you can see concept art of how the whole area is expected to come together when the attraction opens.
