Welcome to another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s another hot day here in the parks, but we’ve got our sunscreen and water bottle and we’re ready to go. Let’s take a look at what’s new in the parks today.
Inside the Williams of Hollywood Prop Shop, which will be closing permanently in a few days, has some new items, surprisingly. There are a few tables for sale from Monsters Cafe. This is a sad moment, since Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe was one of our favorite places to hang out before it closed permanently. You can take a full tour of the restaurant in our post here.
Inside the Tribute Store, there is a new JAWS mug. We’re gonna need a bigger shelf in our kitchen for all these awesome new mugs.
The packaging on these new socks is absolutely amazing. We’d buy these just because of the VHS tape box.
We decided to catch a showing of the Horror Make Up Show since the show has started selecting guests from the audience again. The show has been using a “plant” in the audience since reopening back in 2020 and recently started using actual guests. You can catch the full show over on our YouTube channel.
TODAY Cafe has a new Dragon Fruit Chia Seed Pudding that we’re going to have to try soon. It’s $9.99 and consists of a dragon fruit chia pudding with coconut flakes, granola, pineapple, raspberries, almond butter, and pomegranate seeds. If you’re looking for healthier and more unique food options in the parks, TODAY Cafe is a great spot. Oh, and they also have mimosas!
The Gudetama popcorn bucket has sold out, but we’re hearing they could be restocked soon. Unlike the Minions popcorn bucket, these are not part of the popcorn refill program. But, to be honest, we don’t even care about the popcorn. These containers are just too cute not to buy!
Food on top of trash cans? We had to double check which theme park we were at. We never did solve the mystery of these burgers on top of the trash can outside of Mel’s, and we probably never will.
The Hogwarts Express reopened over the weekend after its annual refurbishment. It’s good to have it back.
We’re also glad to have Umbridge back! The decorative toy in Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes has been missing for a while, but she’s back now and looking better than ever.
Over at Islands of Adventure, we spotted some barricades around one of the creatures in the If I Ran the Zoo playground. This area recently reopened from refurbishment, so it’s disappointing to see things damaged.
Doc Sugrue’s Kebab House sign has gotten a fresh coat of paint and looks fabulous. These vivid colors really stand out. All the painting around the Lost Continent lately has really given the area a nice refresh.
It’s been super hot around here lately. Even the skeletons in the All Hallows Hula Boutique are starting to feel the heat. We feel you, skeleton friend.
Muggles can be so creative.
The refurbishment of the stage in Hogsmeade is complete and the walls are down.
We got extremely excited when we spotted brand new Jurassic World: Dominion and Camp Cretaceous plush at the skill games. Of course we had to get the Game Pass and try our luck. With the $60 Game Pass, you get a small plush. We got a tiny Bumpy and it made our day.
Then we won all the different Bumpy plush! We had an easier time with these skill games than trying to win at the crane games in the arcade in Marvel.
The new queue set up inside Jurassic Outfitters is nicely themed.
The sky turned cloudy and dark, but it didn’t rain. Unfortunately, the thunder and lightning caused outdoor attractions to close briefly. This might be our cue to get out of here.
Thanks for following us around the parks today. That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort, but we’ll be back again soon, so be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more!
