REVIEW: A Beastly-Priced Brunch Arrives at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom is now serving brunch from 10:00 a.m. to noon daily. Some new items have consequently been added to the menu to turn it from just lunch to brunch.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is in Fantasyland, next to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

The menu has not yet been updated online, but the meal is still offered in three courses prix fixe for $62 for adults and $37 for children. The appetizer options are the same, but the salad is seasonal.

Coffee and soft drinks are included in the prix fixe price. Specialty drinks cost extra.

Rolls With Himalayan Sea Salt Butter

These are standard Disney rolls.

They aren’t stale and the dash of salt from the butter is nice.

Field Greens Country Salad

This salad is made up of field greens, blackberries, blueberries, nuts, and stone fruit vinaigrette with peach and apple flavoring. We also found dates and watermelon radishes.

It is a wonderfully light, sweet summer salad.

The vinaigrette is already tossed in the salad, but when you get a bit extra, it’s slightly peachy and sweet.

The blueberries, raspberries, and dates add a freshness.

The walnuts are salty, countering the sweet taste. They and the watermelon radishes give it a crunch.

The dates are rather large, so if you don’t cut them, it’ll be like getting a giant sweet raisin.

This is a great salad.

Entrées

Adults can get a crab omelet, while kids can get a Mickey omelet.

Crab Meat Omelet

This is an omelet with lump crab meat, roasted potatoes, and asparagus, topped with a hollandaise sauce.

There is obviously a ton of crab meat. It’s a healthy portion and is the prominent flavor, but isn’t fishy or bad.

The hollandaise sauce on top is seasoned well and there’s plenty of it.

The egg omelet itself is plain and just seasoned with salt, but we’re not complaining as you get the toppings in each bite.

The potatoes were seasoned fine but could have been cooked a little longer.

This was a relatively good dish but you must love crab to eat it all.

Mickey Omelet Plate

We were able to order the kids’ brunch plate as an additional entrée. It includes a Mickey-shaped omelet, roasted potatoes, bacon, sausage, a Mickey waffle, and maple syrup — standard Walt Disney World breakfast fare.

The Mickey waffle felt heavy, like maybe it was cooked with too much oil. We wish it came with two, but one might be perfect for kids. The sausage was weird and chewy, we don’t recommend it.

The bacon was cooked fine and the potatoes were the same as the adult dish.

The omelet is plain but cooked and seasoned well. This makes for a good brunch for kids or picky adults.

Dessert Trio

The dessert trio remains somewhat the same, including an almond macaron, a chocolate tart with the “grey stuff,” and a dark chocolate truffle.

The grey stuff is a yummy classic, Instagrammable treat. Well, it was when it was actually chocolate shaped like Chip. For the price, this is pretty lame.

The truffle was good, filled with rich, dark chocolate. The macaron was enjoyable as well. It’s a good dessert trio and we’re glad you get all three and don’t need to pick just one.

Brunch/lunch is available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. daily, after which dinner begins at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

  1. I have to say I’m a little surprised by the use of crab for this. Not only is it a very specific taste (and not eaten by many for religious reasons), it has also been very expensive and sometimes hard to come by as there is a shortage of workers to pick the crabs. We Marylanders know the struggle.

  2. That price is just too much to “swallow” for my 10 year old twins who would not eat $124 worth of brunch!!

  3. It’s only until 12pm daily. Get your facts straight before you send guests to scream at the cast members
