Update: Splash Mountain finally came online at about 5:00p.m. today.
After a tornado warning caused all outdoor attractions to be unavailable at the Magic Kingdom this morning, Splash Mountain was the only attraction that failed to reopen after the tornado warning ended at 1:00 p.m.

Splash Mountain is currently listed as “Temporarily Closed” on the My Disney Experience app. It is unclear why the attraction never opened today.

I saw another article that it was allegedly struck by lightning. Cannot confirm.
I noticed no water was in the river at the bottom of the dropped. It’s completely drained.
According to the news it was stuck by lightning this morning.
