Yesterday, Universal Studios Hollywood quietly altered their mask policy to allow fully-vaccinated guests to not wear masks when indoors, so naturally we took a stroll down to the park to see the new policy in effect.
Guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood are still required to bring their proof of vaccination or negative test against COVID-19 along with a photo ID.
It was a lovely day to be out at the park, with temperatures in the high 60s. Just a couple weeks ago, Universal Studios Hollywood relaxed their outdoor mask policy as well, but many guests choose to wear masks outside regardless.
Signs are up around the park indicating the new mask rule.
Although a number of guests continue to wear face masks indoors, outside, or both, many guests could be seen enjoying the park without a face covering.
Based on our observations, we’d venture that mask-wearers were around 50/50 indoors, while around 80% of guests outdoors were unmasked.
