REVIEW: New Scrump Dome Cake Available at Capt. Cook’s in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a new dome cake inspired by Scrump, Lilo’s doll in “Lilo & Stitch.”

Scrump Dome Cake – $5.99

Vanilla cake, cotton candy mousse, fondant, red icing, candy sprinkles

The mousse only has a slight taste of cotton candy, but that’s probably for the best because cotton candy can be overly sweet.

The decorations are a cute recreation of Scrump.

The bow and hair on top are white chocolate.

Be careful of the red icing, it will stain your fingers (and anything else it touches).

The cake is soft and made well, but is just a standard vanilla cake.

Altogether, this was a decent cake but tasted more of sweet vanilla than cotton candy.
