Just over two weeks from the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, and little over a week after Annual Pass sales resumed, Disney has reloaded the Park Pass system for nearly all dates and parks.
Annual Passholders now use a different availability calendar from before, shown below. As we can see, all dates and all parks are available, except for one: October 1st.
October 1st marks the start of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”, Walt Disney World’s 18-month 50th anniversary event.
Before today, availability was limited (or gone) for October 2-4, and Magic Kingdom was fully booked on September 29, the final night that Happily Ever After will be performed.
Strangely, Park Pass availability does not seem to have been reloaded for Ticket & Hotel guests, groups which normally receive greater availability than Annual Passholders. They currently have less options for the first two weekends in October, and Magic Kingdom on Halloween is unavailable. Those groups could see availability refreshed shortly, though.

Maybe I’m trying too early, but it won’t let me get Magic Kingdom this Sunday. We have Epcot right now, but it only shows Animal Kingdom as an option at the moment, if I want to modify.
Just an update, I figured it out. I had to cancel our reservation to Epcot. Magic Kingdom wasn’t showing because it’s available as a bonus reservation!
Apparently, you can’t see bonus reservations if you’re just looking to just modify an existing reservation. It won’t even let you book it as one that counts towards your limit.
So now, not only do I have the park I really wanted to visit, as we were going to park hop before, but I can technically reserve something else now since the reservation no longer counts towards my limit.
Now, if only we can make those thunderstorms go away.
Called DVC yesterday to get park tickets credited toward AP. You can do it, with the assistance of a supervisor. BUT…. I was advised that when it happens ALL park reservations are nulled out and I would have to reacquire the park reservations. The agent was VERY clear that this was the only way that it was done.
It was also VERY clear that Oct 1 for MK or EP would likely not be available for APs because, simply, it is full. The APs won’t be able to get RSVPs for that date unless WDW opens up more specifically for them. With this article as good info, for some getting an AP may not be the best option.
Personally, I am not willing to give up the Oct RSVP to EP. Results may vary by individual. Caveat Emptor but Audaces Fortuna Juvat.
