To refresh ourselves while out in the California sun today at Avengers Campus, we stopped by Pym Tasting Lab to try out a few new drinks.

Pym Tasting Lab is strung up with supersized Christmas lights.

The Regulator – $16
Beer Cocktail with Patrón Silver Tequila and Mango Flavor-filled Boba

The Regulator is delicious. It tastes like a beer mimosa with a hint of mango. The serving size is big, with a hard plastic cup you can reuse. You cannot taste the alcohol at all (if that’s good or bad is up to you). If you don’t like boba, you can drink around them easily, but they are squishy, a bit slimy, and taste like a tiny mango bite.
X-Periment – $18
with Patrón Silver Tequila, Mango and Habanero Syrups, and Mango Flavor-filled Boba

We would rate this similar to The Regulator, like a beer mimosa with a tiny hint of spice at the end, but not in the in-your-face way the spicy drinks usually are. We wouldn’t know there was habanero if we hadn’t read the description beforehand. It does have a bit more sweetness than we usually like in a drink, but overall a solid choice. Like The Regulator, you can easily drink around the boba.
Honey Fusion – $15
Beer Cocktail with Plymouth Gin and a Honey Straw

The Honey Fusion was a disappointment after the first two beverages. This is a very gin-forward drink and is accordingly bitter. It tasted like gin with just a hint of sugar — the honey and beer flavors were undetectable. Never before at a Disney park have we wished there was more syrup in a drink until now. Unless you love gin, skip this one and get the Honey Buzz instead.
Molecular Meltdown – $17
Beer Cocktail with Vanilla Ice Cream and topped with Miniature Marshmallows

The Molecular Meltdown is a milk stout beer with a scoop of Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream and miniature marshmallows. The ice cream melted nicely for a fun float on a hot day, and cuts the bitterness of the beer. The marshmallows were too sweet, we recommend drinking around them. If you’re a stout beer fan, this is a fun treat.
Honey Buzz – $17
Plymouth Gin, Lemon Juice, and Honey Syrup with a Honey Straw

The Honey Buzz is the drink we wished the Honey Fusion could be. The addition of honey syrup and lemon juice perfectly cuts the bitterness of the gin. We would order this again.
Particle Fizz – $15
Endless Summer Hard Seltzer – POG (Passion Fruit, Orange, Guava) with Cherry Flavor-filled Boba

We advise letting the Particle Fizz settle before drinking. At first, it tasted like plain seltzer water, but when we let it sit for a few minutes, the cherry boba and POG melded to a refreshing cocktail. The boba has an artificial cherry flavor but isn’t overly sweet. It tastes like a berry White Claw with boba. We recommend this for a nice, fruity cocktail.
Pint-sized Pints Mini Beer Flight – $32
Oversized Ruler Flight Board with Mini Beer Steins

From left to right, the beers are:
- Endless Summer Hard Seltzer – POG (Passion Fruit, Orange, Guava): This is the same seltzer from the Particle Fizz. It tastes like a berry White Claw.
- SLO Brew Cali Squeeze Blood Orange Hefeweizen: It smells more like grapefruit, so we expected it to taste similar to the grapefruit beer from the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT. Instead, it tastes like a watered-down Squirt.
- Karl Strauss® Brewing Co., Sun Drops IPA: This is your typical IPA. It’s very hoppy. It’s not the best IPA we’ve had, but not the worst, either.
- Garage Brewing, Marshmallow Milk Stout: This is the same stout from the Molecular Meltdown float. It’s the best beer on the flight.

Snack Molecules – $7
Mini Pretzels, Honey-roasted Peanuts, and Sweet and Spicy Popped Sorghum

The snack molecules are bits of popcorn, pretzels, and honey-roasted peanuts. It’s a good mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of spice. It’s a good snack to pair with your drinks, but the price point is a little high.

Overall, our favorite beer cocktail was The Regulator, and our favorite regular cocktail was the X-Periment. The beer cocktails were better than the regular cocktails, but most of the drinks were delicious. It should also be noted that the price points seem high, but these are Quantum-sized servings at 500ml.
