Due to physical distancing, the classic stretching room pre-show for The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom has not been operating for the past year. Instead, the stretching room doors were left open and it acted as a section of queue, so guests were still able to see the stretched portraits. Now that physical distancing is gone, the famous scene has finally returned in all its glory.
The Haunted Mansion is a popular destination this morning.
The wait time was 30 minutes.
The queue is filled with guests. Plexiglass dividers still remain.
For the first time since the Magic Kingdom reopened in July 2020, guests experience the stretching room pre-show.
Though Disney has considered removing the potentially upsetting hanging corpse from the scene, it remains for now.

At Disneyland, the stretching room has remained in operation since reopening due to the nature of the building, although with physical distancing, as well as a “secret” entrance that allowed guests to skip the room instead.
