California officially dropped most COVID-19 restrictions last week, and as such, many changes have been happening at the theme parks. We stopped by Universal Studios Hollywood to show you the newest milestones on the return to “normal.” Let’s take a look around the park!
Security and Entrance
All physical distancing markers have been removed from the security station and the park entrance.
The markers are absent from the turnstiles as well.
Shops
Physical distancing markers have also been removed from retail locations. Production Central has no physical distancing rules enforced, but there are still hand sanitizer stations available.
Over at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, store entrances no longer have distancing measures.
Inside the shops, the markers have also been removed.
Plexiglass shields remain in place at the cashier stations.
Restaurants
Restaurants around the park have returned to pre-pandemic operations.
No distancing markers remain outside Jurassic Café.
Fear not, thirsty park-goers: the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines are back in action!
These plexiglass dividers around the food lines are a common food safety practice unrelated to COVID-19 safety measures.
In Springfield, Krusty Burger and Moe’s Tavern have resumed normal operations as well.
Panda Express has similarly removed physical distancing measures.
Indoor and outdoor seating are open with all tables available.
Shows
Distancing markers have been removed from the seats at the Animal Actors Theater.
Team Members are filling the stands for the show.
Attractions
Jurassic World: The Ride is seating every row.
Flight of the Hippogriff is also using every row.
Physical distancing markers have been removed from Super Silly Fun Land.
The water effects have returned to the play area and barriers have been removed.

Since when has it ever been okay to invade someones personal space? The one things that was good about this pandemic was it forced people to observe another persons personal space. I do not care if the physical distance regulations are lifted, stay the heck back and give people their space.
