Each month, Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs has a different limited edition cookie. After offering a Florida-Inspired Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie last month, the special cookie for the month of May combines peanut butter and espresso, two of the bakehouse’s famous flavors.
Their May menu features the new limited edition cookie and highlights that the month marks “Halfway to Halloween”.
Limited Edition Peanut Butter Espresso Cookie – $6.00
This almost 1/2 pound Cookie features creamy Peanut Butter mixed with freshly ground, locally roasted, award-winning espresso bean from our friends at Lineage Coffee Roasters. We top it with some delicious chocolates, throw on some house-made candied peanuts for the perfect amount of crunch, and sprinkle a bit more espresso on top to create this unique and flavorful Cookie.
In nearly every way, this is exactly what we expected from Gideon’s Bakehouse in combining two of their most popular flavors, and in our minds, perhaps creating the Peanut Butter Cold Brew in cookie form.
Like their other offerings, it’s a massive cookie weighing in at nearly a half-pound. The peanut butter and freshly ground espresso make for an outstanding pairing—no doubt why Gideon’s says this is one of their most requested cookies ever.
Unfortunately, they don’t stop at the peanut butter, coffee, and candied peanuts, but also add on a massive amount of chocolate chips which drowns out the namesake flavors of the cookie. We feel like this was the same story as we told for April’s orange pecan chocolate chip cookie — though at least that had “chocolate” in the name.
You can try out this limited edition cookie for yourself at Gideon’s Bakehouse through the month of May at Disney Springs.
