As reported earlier this month, characters are making physically distanced appearances at Disneyland, which reopened Friday. We got to say “hi” to Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy in Mickey’s Toontown.
Mickey was on his front porch, waving to guests and posing for photos.
Guests can’t tour Mickey’s house right now, so a gate is up blocking the front path.
Mickey Mouse was flipping through some of the mail that was delivered to his Toontown home in between photos.
He looked shocked by some of the bills that arrived.
Later, Minnie Mouse came out on her front porch to say hello as well.
She spent some time watering her flower beds and waving to guests.
You can see the show building for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway looming behind Minnie’s house.
As with Mickey’s house, guests aren’t allowed to tour Minnie’s house yet, so the front gate remains closed.
Marie from The Aristocats makes an appearance here as well.
She blew kisses to the guests!
For her formal distanced meet and greet, Marie posed inside of a roped-off gazebo (with the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway construction walls beside it)
Chip ‘n’ Dale also made a stop in Toontown.
Although Donald’s Boat is temporarily unavailable to guests, that didn’t stop Chip ‘n’ Dale from going onboard.
Once on the upper deck, Chip decided to try his luck at fishing.
We are not sure whether the rubber chicken is the catch or the bait.
Pluto seems to be very happy to see guests in Toontown!
He may also be excited to have a new bone.
Pluto was a very playful pup in Toontown.
