Electrical work is underway on the TRON Lightcycle / Run canopy at Magic Kingdom to create its future illuminated effect. Lights and wiring are being installed along the framework before the canopy is covered.
The last of the temporary supports beneath the canopy were removed this week.
We can clearly see the entrance to the attraction, which was sealed off when construction inside paused. However, interior construction has resumed, with props being moved around.
Perforated steel pieces have been installed on the edge of the canopy framework.
Several crew members on cherry-picker vehicles were working inside the canopy.
This crew member was painting some sections yellow as a marker.
In this close up, we can see that the steel pieces running across the white frame now have LED bars of light installed own the underneath of them. These bars should look familiar to anyone who has seen the Shanghai attraction at night.
The bar lights will come on as the roller coaster trains zoom past, as seen in these images from Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run.
A new arm has also been installed on one leg of the track, with wiring hanging from it for now. We suspect this will, at some point, support netting under the track.
The triangular arm sticks out on both sides of the track’s leg.

Are you excited for TRON Lightcycle / Run to eventually open at Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments.
Tron : Lightcycle Run will be awesome thrill ride for the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland!
I cannot wait!!!!
I nearly missed all the floodlights that have been installed as well as the grid effect LED bars (which is such a cool effect BTW). Glad to see construction is continuing though.
When u think will open? Haha
Yes, I cannot wait until this new attraction opens at Walt Disney World. I will definitely be riding this roller coaster whenever I visit Walt Disney World in the near future, or sooner.
