Greetings, World Travelers, and welcome to another hot day here at EPCOT! While this week was supposed to be cooler, we haven’t seen it yet, with temperatures in the mid 90’s today. Despite the heat, we came out to the park to see what new things we could find to show you today. Let’s get started!
We found Points of Light installed across the North side of Spaceship Earth, which is overtop of the Project Tomorrow building. We expect to see additional lights installed here soon.
The red and gold planet outside of Mission: SPACE appears to have had it’s damaged paint touched up. Previously, the top of the planet was chipped and pitted, with white showing through the paint in places.
Tents have been added to the front of the former fireworks viewing area in front of World Showcase Lagoon. Tents have been seen here in the past, and are rumored to be connected with testing for Harmonious.
We found all of the trash cans in EPCOT closed today. While the swinging doors were originally propped open as a safety precaution to reduce touch points when the parks reopened last year, they have now been returned to their original state. Pavement work continues in the France Pavilion, with just a small section scored for future replacement in front of Crepes des Chefs de France.
Lots of work was underway in the Morocco Pavilion. The entrance fountain was not running and had been drained.
We found low construction walls topped with scrim fabric in the left corner of the entrance, blocking a doorway.
The “Rally of the Gazelles” simulation video, previously running but blocked off from guests interacting with the driver’s seat, was off and blocked by a large curtain today.
Pavement work continues in the archway leading into the interior of the pavilion, with wood covering removed sections of tile.
In the Mexico Pavilion on Gran Fiesta Tour, the ribbon hat dancer was still missing.
With our construction updates concluded, we were able to turn our attention to other things. We found a new featured menu at Traveler‘s Cafe, including the new Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino. For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
We found two new pieces of merchandise to show you today, starting with this shot glass in the Mexico Pavilion, which retails for $9.99.
Next, we found this fun hat in the Germany Pavilion at Stein Haus for $19.99.
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
