Walt Disney World’s new MagicMobile service allows guests to use their smartphone as they would a MagicBand. Guests can choose from different digital ticket designs which animate in different ways when used to enter a theme park. Two new designs are now available in My Disney Experience.
A new Magic Kingdom design features a star-topped magic wand surrounded by pixie dust.
The other new design features animals guests might see on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney also announced that two new MagicMobile ticket designs would be coming soon exclusively for Annual Passholders now that they are discontinuing complimentary MagicBands.
Right now, there is one plain Annual Passholder ticket design, but there will be Figment and Orange Bird designs exclusive to Annual Passholders. Disney did not announce exactly when these designs would debut, but we can expect them to be rolling out soon.
Wow what’s next, changing your phone’s wallpaper or lock screen ! What will they think of next. Since my small children do not have phones, it would be nice to see them support magic bands still ($$) especially as we might be shuffling them between Granparents during the trip, Not interested in the headache for synching this over phones (or getting our parents up to speed on this). Here’s the kid and here’s their band, easy peasy.
