Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- Cinderella Castle is even more glamorous today with the addition of four new decorations to the ongoing redecoration that celebrates the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, the Magic Kingdom, and Cinderella Castle itself
- As part of the ongoing makeover of Cinderella Castle for the 50th anniversary celebrations later this year, the castle stage is undergoing a refurbishment and with new floor panels installed, the resurfacing of the stage has begun
- It’s almost time for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” and things are starting to get “EARidescent” over at Storybook Circus as the right side of the classic attraction, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, has been repainted
- Although it seemed that Cool Ship in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom was getting a new look with black legs, one of the legs has been painted back to silver

- A new shipment of cargo for updates has arrived at The World Famous Jungle Cruise as new paint adorns the walls of the boathouse, and some props have been from the queue
EPCOT
- It seems some pixels on the taco-shaped barges for Harmonious may not be completely working, which is why the currently running testing that is happening during park hours is important
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- We reported early in the day that all reservations for Disney’s Hollywood Studios were no longer available through July 1st for those guests who have single or multiday tickets, or even guests at select Walt Disney World resorts, but by the afternoon, the reservation availability calendar was updated with additional openings for select dates
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, infamous for its frequent downtime, went down today around 1pm and remained closed for several hours
Other Walt Disney World News
- As Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings works on a plan to relax mask mandates, Disney has moved in parallel by quietly removing handwashing stations, which were added to promote personal hygiene to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus
- Orange County, Florida has launched its “I Got My Shot” COVID-19 vaccination campaign with numerous “partners across the region” — including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort — helping to promote the campaign
- Around the Walt Disney World Resort, “Earning My Ears” nametag adornments have started to pop up along with groups of cast members returning to work and training after being furloughed or displaced last year
Disneyland Resort
- Disney has provided a better look at the attraction poster for Snow White’s Enchanted Wish at Disneyland, which had debuted in the Disneyland entrance last week
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Tokyo Disneyland recently announced a collaboration with the acclaimed Sadaharu Aoki Paris Bakery to create new treats for Guests to enjoy, and one of the more popular treats so far has been the Special Matcha & Chocolate Soft Serve at Ice Cream Cones in World Bazaar
Disneyland Paris
- In the “Celebrating 29 Years of Dreams” special, new VP of Entertainment David Duffy confirmed some new character appearances and entertainment coming to Disneyland Paris when it reopens
- Just yesterday, we shared the concept art and schematics for a scene in the new Cars Road Trip attraction coming to Walt Disney Studios Parc, and with this picture in mind, we noticed that the company behind the manufacturing of the “World’s Biggest Lug Nut,” Petras, had posted a photo to their Facebook page in February that we can now identify as this set piece

- A Pixar Luxo Ball and Space Mountain tie have been introduced into your choice of dapper wear and can be found at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Photos in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom
- If your wardrobe needs some spring updates, look no further than the Majestic Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with this new line of T-shirts
The Walt Disney Company
- Published March 11, 2021, “System and Method for Providing Location-Based Data on a Wireless Portable Device” details how portable devices could use location services to help get the most out of a Disney Park visit, like using your smartphone for a new iteration of My Disney Experience
- Disney CEO Bob Chapek has purchased a $12.5 million mansion in Westlake Village, California which was built in 2013 and sits on just over 6 acres of land
