While refurbishment of World Drive’s entrance archway continues, construction is ongoing down the road near Magic Kingdom. This is Phase II of a plan to improve traffic flow to and from Magic Kingdom and the surrounding resorts. Phase I was completed in 2019 with the extension of Floridian Way.

Permits were filed in September 2020 for this portion of roadwork, which includes the extension and realignment of World Drive.

Much of the construction is focused outside the Speedway station and the Car Care Center, where there are several large piles of dirt.

A ramp to directly connect the Car Care Center to Magic Kingdom parking is in the works.

These tops of these tall beams will be much lower to the ground when the project is complete.
