Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Refurbishment Extended Through January 30 at Magic Kingdom

Though the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover was scheduled to reopen at Magic Kingdom this week, its refurbishment has now been extended through January 30, 2021.

The PeopleMover has been closed since March, even before the parks closed due to COVID-19. Refurbishment was previously planned to come to a close on January 9.

We have spotted multiple Cast Members on the PeopleMover track in the past few months. The supports surrounding the track have been completely repainted and the train cars have been reconnected.

How do you feel about refurbishment being extended on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Very disappointed. Taking a trip in 1.5 weeks and so much is down (no shows, no fireworks, rides down, rides delayed…) it feels like the full price we paid for a ticket is beginning to no longer be worth it. Might have to delay our trip. I understand there is lots going on in the world but keeping that ticket full price seems less worth it as more and more is being taken offline….Rock N’ Rollercoater too?!?!

  2. That’s too bad. :( We are going the last week of January. We went in July of 2020 and missed the peoplemover than. Was so looking forward to it this month. It’s not the most exciting ride there but it is one of the most nostalgic rides.
