After some new cell towers were installed at the EPCOT resorts, more are appearing elsewhere around Walt Disney World. We spotted some new towers at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
According to workers, the towers are LTE/4G with capability to add 5G. They are being added to almost every resort.
To blend in with the trees and foliage of the Polynesian, these towers are green.
Workers were pulling 48 strand single mode fiber to each tower.
The towers are “neutral host”, which means any carrier who wants to participate can hook into it.
We will know when they add 5G to the towers because they will add three antennas pointing in different directions.
This is just one of many projects at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort right now as the resort receives a major refurbishment.
Yuck. They couldn’t have mounted them on roof tops?
I guess we should be thankful they’re green.
Guess they’re giving up on the wifi.
So ugly.
I hope they disguise it, maybe a tiki torch.
