- After two years of closure, work seems to have begun in earnest to refurbish the Walt Disney World Railroad at the Magic Kingdom as a tan scrim has been installed in front of the Main Street, U.S.A. station
EPCOT
- It seems Groot is cutting loose on “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” when he was seen in a Disney Parks TikTok video on one of the ride vehicles dancing to some funkadelic music and disco lights to match
- Holiday Hearth has added a new treat to their menu at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays — the Chocolate Mickey Tart — and we have your review of the new tart here
- Join us on our photo tour of EPCOT as we see work being done on World Showcase Lagoon for “Harmonious”, the Morocco Pavilion being cleared out for Disney to takeover, 30% off holiday merchandise, a Twinings tea sale, and more
Disney Springs
- Terralina Crafted Italian and Paddlefish, both located at Disney Springs, have announced current specials including Cast Member discounts as well as other food and discount offers for December, Christmas, and New Year’s
- City Works Eatery & Pour House has added an “Express Grab + Go” menu, featuring four items from their menu
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- The Turf Club Lounge is off and running once again at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa as the lounge has reopened to guests with a very limited food menu
- The Wave Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has a new menu of “Festive Spirits” cocktails for the holidays and we tried them out to bring you this review
- We recently booked a Two Bedroom Villa with a view of Bay Lake at Bay Lake Tower in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which features two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and sleeps up to nine adults, and we want you to come along for a tour
Other Walt Disney World News
- Previously, guests who were found not wearing their face mask correctly on attractions did not receive their on-ride PhotoPass photos at all but now, it seems Disney has compromised on this somewhat, “enhancing” on-ride photos by placing digital face masks over maskless guests in on-ride photos
- Walt Disney World has issued an update on Date-Based, Multi-Day Tickets, now allowing for guests to book a specific time range, even if a day or so is fully booked on the Disney Park Pass system
- If you’re planning to spend the holidays at the Walt Disney World theme parks, there’s still time, thanks to the replenishing of Disney Park Passes for most of the month including Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and more
- Some of the last tasks to be done on the Western Way entrance to Walt Disney World are well underway with the addition of golden flags installed above the entrance archway
- Orlando International Airport will soon offer COVID-19 testing on-site as part of increased measures to ensure traveler safety during the ongoing pandemic
- Disney Paper Parks is back for the holiday season with a new, three-part series launching today to help spread holiday cheer and today’s set of printable activity sheets is complete with instructions on how to create 3D versions of paper ornaments inspired by iconic Disney Parks attractions and locations, holiday wrapping paper and more
New Merchandise
- Celebrate the spirit of Norway this winter with new apparel available at the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT including a slew of new long and short sleeved T-shirts, a luggage strap, magnet, and more
- A new Britto figure of the Orange Bird is now available at Walt Disney World, rendered in Britto’s colorful, patchwork style
Entertainment and Media
- “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical”, a viral sensation, has been greenlit for Broadway… well, kind of, because according to Playbill, Seaview Productions will present a filmed concert presentation on January 1, with tickets now available to benefit The Actors Fund
- In an interview with BBC Radio 2, The Muppet Christmas Carol director Brian Henson revealed that “When Love is Gone,” a song originally cut from the film, has been re-added in time for its 4K remastering
- The Disney Parks Blog has announced that “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration” will air on ABC on December 25th, 2020 at 10am ET, 9am CT and will include a sneak peek of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, plus performances by Becky G, Maddie & Tae, Trevor Jackson, and more

- There’s a chance that Disney’s Investor Day could reveal a new release strategy for the movie studio’s upcoming release slate as Variety is reporting that Disney could be moving several upcoming films exclusively to Disney+, with other films being considered for Premier Access titles
