Construction continues on the facade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, and we got a peek inside the building this week.
The scrim that was erected two weeks ago is now gone.
It was previously on the left corner of the building.
The facade’s framework continues to come together with criss-crossing layers of steel.
A significant portion of the structure stretches down from the edge of the roof.
The gray scrim is much further out from the building than it appears in some photos.
At night, we could actually see through the steel beams inside the building. The curved yellow structure is the building’s future “Galaxarium.”
The circular structure will open the attraction, as seen in the concept art below.
It is a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has gotten a lot of hype lately as work on the project progresses. We got a first look at the inside of the track and its ride vehicles a few weeks ago, and Groot even recently visited the attraction.
