Magic Kingdom Resort Area guests will soon be using a new dock to board resort boats departing from the theme park. With recent work including sign installation and sidewalk paving, the new launch is moving closer to an opening date. We were able to get a good view from Seven Seas Lagoon today.
A green flag launch boat departs the existing Magic Kingdom dock.
With the launch boat past, workers can be seen preparing the areas around the upcoming dock.
Rubber pads are clearly visible at the dock’s edge. The shelter awaits its roof. Notice that the shelter uprights are covered to minimize damage as construction continues.
A smaller structure sits closer to the monorail line.
Looking back, we get a better view of the wrapped structure uprights, as well as the hillside that awaits landscaping.
A view from the existing Magic Kingdom dock shows an overview of the entire site.
Guests will also soon be able to arrive at the Magic Kingdom using a new walkway being constructed between the theme park and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
