Good morning from EPCOT! The day after the Festival of the Arts has concluded means lots of changes around the park. Today, we decided to check out what was new.
Minnie Mouse was out greeting guests early on this morning.
The morning did not start out well inside The Land, where both Soarin’ and Living with the Land were experiencing extended downtime after the park opened.
The popular butterfly wall is still intact sans Festival of the Arts logos in front of the eventual home for the butterfly garden for the Flower & Garden Festival.
Speaking of Flower & Garden festival prep, several topiaries were out this morning. The first one to greet guests as Figment over by Imagination!
As work on Mouse Gear continues, we spotted that both directional signs that were in the breezeway entrance are gone.
Back behind the rear exit for Mouse Gear, new trees have been planted behind the construction walls. Several futuristic light poles are also rising up from the area here as well.
Flower & Garden prep means Bo Peep is ready to greet guests in her more organic form.
The Bo Peep, Woody, and Sheep topiaries are all out at the edge of the playground here.
Over between Canada and United Kingdom, Miss Piggy’s topiary is also on display.
In the planter next to her, Kermit the Frog waves at passing park guests.
Outside of Morocco, the yellow Tabebuia tree is in full bloom.
Japan’s sea dragon topiary has already become a popular photo spot for park visitors.
At the America Gardens Theater, posters that feature the full slate of artists for the 2020 Flower & Garden Festival concerts is up.
The smoker outside of Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue was filling the air with the smell of freshly-cooked meats.
Crowds were starting to pack into EPCOT by the time we got around to Norway.
As we were leaving the parks, we spotted this flat bed truck hauling away one of the photo booths from the Festival of the Arts. We hope to see it next year!
That does it for today’s visit to EPCOT. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you the latest in Disney parks news.
