Starbucks lovers, rejoice! Starbucks has returned to EPCOT in the form of the new Traveler’s Cafe. Starbucks’ former EPCOT location (Fountain View) closed in early September this year to make way for the new Festival Center and World Celebration, one of the park’s new neighborhoods. To fill the caffeine void, a “temporary” Starbucks location has been constructed on the Rose Walk pathway between Refreshment Port and the new restrooms near the entrance to World Showcase. Construction walls and fencing were down at the location this morning, offering guests a first look. Now, the location has officially opened for business.
This Starbucks location is small and kiosk-style. The building follows the current aesthetic of any Starbucks across the U.S. It has a sleek, contemporary design with a boxy shape and flat roof. It sort of reminds of us a bit of a modern container home.
There are two registers for ordering on one end, plus a pick-up window at the other end.
Temporary switchbacks are set up for guests to weave their way over to the ordering station. You enter from the front, which then takes you back and around the location:
A cart full of iced bottled drinks and sodas is also available.
You pick up your order from this tiny window. The way the queue is set up, it shouldn’t cause too much crowding as drinks are prepared.
To the far right is a stainless steel table for all the necessary coffee fixings, like cream and sugar. It’s clearly just a makeshift kitchen bench, so we hope something more themed pops up once more scrim comes down.
And just like that, we have a new Starbucks in EPCOT! Peace is restored to the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.
Since there aren’t overhead menus, handheld menus are distributed with the official Traveler’s Cafe name. All menus feature the new futuristic-style EPCOT font, which is a fun touch. All of the menu items, however, are just standard Starbucks sandwiches, pastries, and drinks––no Play! Pavilion Pink Drink just yet.
There is also a menu display by the register, as well as a pastry case. All of the seasonal holiday drinks are listed under the first section, titled “Oh What Yum”.
While most Starbucks locations on property sell branded mugs, tumblers, and ornaments on site, due to space constraints at this Starbucks, guests are invited to explore all of the drinkware at the nearby Port of Entry store.

What do you think of the new Traveler’s Cafe Starbucks at EPCOT?
I’m always amazed that Disney does temporary things way better than a lot of places do their permanent facilities. That “makeshift” condiment table for example could be the pride and joy of a coffee stand anywhere else.
Any seating inside?
