Today, we’re learning to live with the land—discovering better ways to grow food that will assure both human and environmental wellbeing… while also keeping things jolly with a fun holiday overlay! That’s right, the annual Living with the Land holiday overlay is back this year at EPCOT (you can check out last year’s here), and there are tons of fun new surprises, like The Land Pavilion-themed produce boxes and more. Old favorites, like the sand “snowmen” family, have made their triumphant return. Let’s cruise through the greenhouse and see what’s new this year:
Along the lily pad pond, there’s a garland packed with gold and red ornaments.
Above these containers full of spices is a wreath with bananas, persimmons, dragonfruits, and more things you can see grown inside the greenhouse.
This Mickey trellis has been transformed into a Mickey Reindeer trellis.
This vertical garden display is decked out with a wreath made of popcorn. No, those aren’t glass ornaments. They’re cherry tomatoes! And of course, a classic Christmas pickle ornament. (Chapek would be proud.)
I love this ribbon-tied cotton wreath.
Quite possibly the best addition this year is this display featuring The Land pavilion “Fresh Produce” boxes. The boxes are printed with the classic pavilion logo and even feature vents to keep the produce fresh. Some are wrapped in red ribbon while others are overflowing with fresh, hydroponically-grown veggies.
Even the Biotechnology Lab has been decked out in stockings, ornaments, and garlands.
Added Christmas lights twinkle as you reach the attraction exit, right before passing by Angry Tomato Girl. You can watch our full holiday overlay ride on Living with the Land in the video below.
Seedson’s Greetings!
That’s nice shots. I love these images for unique garden. Hope to be there someday.
