A new pathway is currently being added from Disney’s Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom as part of the arrival experience enhancements at the Magic Kingdom.
We updated you recently on the start of the project, but we’ve noticed more sections have been filled in since then. Barricades are set up around the pavement on the corner near the crosswalk to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The new path runs closer to the street and many spaces that were just outlines have been filled in. This will allow Disney to remove the Walk Around the World bricks and rebuild the security area along the walkway.
It’s a lot closer to the bus loop, too.
The end of the walkway is marked with orange traffic cones. It looks like they will continue to add on to this portion to complete the path.
Currently, guests will take the pathway that is lined with Walk Around the World Bricks but these will be removed soon. Be sure to keep following for more updates on this and other projects around the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.
