From the tram drop-off entrance area, to the remaining Leave-A-Legacy monoliths, to Rose Walk, it appears nearly all of Future World at Epcot is getting uprooted.
And there are still many more changes in store, too. Over at Future World East, two pathway sections at Future World East are closing for expansion.
The northeast section (pictured above) will be closing on August 12th. We’d seen fences with scrim go up and we weren’t sure as to whether this was simply landscaping work, or something more.
The southwest section will be closing on August 15th.
The Family Play Zone will remain open during the construction, with the entrance to the playground shifted over to the east side near the back entrance to Mouse Gear.
The playground will also remain accessible along the pathways from Odyssey, Test Track, and Mouse Gear.
The Future World East bathrooms behind Mouse Gear will remain open, as well as the service animal relief area however it will shift over to the right side of said bathrooms.
Stay tuned as we track the upcoming closure and construction in the area.
