Work on Disney’s Riviera Resort is progressing rather quickly, with colorful awnings now lining the resort’s exterior and even the pool slide finally taking shape. While the resort won’t be welcoming guests until December, it appears there’s another deadline that is encouraging work along the resort’s edge to hurry along, and it’s the opening of the Disney Skyliner on September 29th.

Up until now, the resort’s Skyliner station, while mostly completed, has sat without signage or any finishing touches.

A wrought iron gate was recently installed, but new to the station is a beautiful Disney Skyliner sign. If you’re getting vague Epcot World Showcase vibes, that’s because Disney’s Riviera Resort is the first stop along the Epcot Skyliner line, right after you pass through the turn station near Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. The following stop along the line would be Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, which connects to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resort line.

Take a look at Randall on that Monsters, Inc. character gondola! He looks like he’s up to no good. You can check out all of the character gondolas on the line by clicking here.

The finalized station is matching up quite nicely to the concept art that was previously released back in January.

There’s still some work left to be done by way of adding even more landscaping or letting these fresh baby trees fill out the space some more.

Lanterns flank the opening on both sides.

It’s only a matter of time before we’ll be able to catch a ride over to Disney’s Riviera Resort! It’ll be fun to be able to catch a ride over from Epcot or be able to enjoy a meal at Topolino’s Terrace even if you’re staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
