Welcome to another day in the world of yesterday, tomorrow, fantasy, and Dole Whip served in champagne flutes (or is that just included under the umbrella of fantasy?)
Okay, since I led off with the Dole Whip in a champagne flute, we should probably start there. Over in Adventureland at Sunshine Tree Terrace, a new treat has rolled in. It’s called a FOMOsa, and it’s orange Dole Whip floated on top of sparkling apple cider, and no, we don’t have any idea why it’s called that, either. Check out our full review to see what we thought of this new frozen treat!
In addition to the FOMOsa, the new Character Waffle Toppers that were teased last month have finally made their way into most ice cream locations at Magic Kingdom. Check out the post to see what character you can get where. The pricing on these varies by location, though. At Auntie Gravity’s, Storybook Treats, and Aloha Isle, you can add one to any treat for $1, but at Sunshine Tree Terrace and Plaza Ice Cream Parlour, it’s included in the price of its own menu item.
In Big Top Souvenirs, I found a new addition to the Cozy Knits line, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. He’s priced at $27.99, and can also be found in the Emporium on Main Street.
On my usual ride around Tomorrowland on the PeopleMover, I checked in on the construction progress of the TRON coaster. A couple more of the giant support beams we showed you in our last update have been installed, and progress is still moving quickly.
Over by Cinderella Castle, the pathway widening project is coming along, but with all of the recent rain that we’ve had in the area, a decent amount of water has crept back into the drained moat.
You can see the outline of what the new pathway is going to look like, with the concrete barrier now mostly in place. I’m still holding out hope for the return of the little nooks with the wrought iron benches. Fingers crossed.
There’s still some kind of work being done in the Miner’s Cove, the former designated smoking area at the exit of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It looks like they’ve ripped up the pavement that was in this area, but the dock is still open, and with it being smoke free now, might finally be a nice place to hang out and relax.
That about wraps up my day around Magic Kingdom! Stay tuned to WDWNT for more updates!
Love the duck photo! Thanks for the updates!
