Last week, we brought you an update on the progress at Pixar Pals Parking Structure at the Disneyland Resort. And we have even more updates from a recent visit to the parking complex. With efforts from Disney to open the parking structure ahead of schedule in June, progress is happening fast.

The new tram load and drop-off area is looking closer to completion. New railings have gone up around the base of the beams holding up the awning.

More brickwork has been laid down and it appears that it’s close to being finished.

Nearby, we spot the installation of the new security checkpoint and bag check area. It appears guests will continue to go through security inside the ground level of the new parking structure before entering Downtown Disney. Mickey & Friends Parking Structure adapted this procedure on their Chip & Dale Level only within the last year.

This area has come a long way recently, too. The ramps that will take cars up to the highest levels look almost finished.

As far as the two sets of stairs that border both sides of the new tram loading area, they have been enclosed. This is certainly a different look from the open stairwells at Mickey & Friends Parking Structure.

Lastly, it appears that the old walkway to Downtown Disney is still closed off to guests as progress continues on the pedestrian bridge.

Upon exiting Mickey & Friends, guests are directed to cross the street at Disneyland Drive and make their way to Downtown Disney on the opposite side of Magic Way to Downtown Drive.

Pixar Pals Parking Structure is slated to open in July, but efforts are being made to open the space by the time Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens up to guests without reservations. Parking has been especially difficult to come by lately, so we hope these additional 6,000+ spaces open soon.
